THE WEDDING ATMOSPHERE
I had walked around the property early that morning. I wanted to enjoy the last moments of sleep of the castle to listen to nature awaken. The tall grass was still damp with evening dew and the birds began their morning first songs. These privileged moments of the wedding photographer to believe the space of a moment that the world is his, to scrutinize the first rays of sun remind me how much I love my job. After I had photographed the scene, the first morning wedding guests pointed their noses and the first hugs ended up near the smell of coffee. Everyone was starting to get busy and take their jobs with ease and friendliness.
Careful and passionate about design the bride had imagined her entire wedding in a vegetal, contemporary and creative style. She chose a haute-couture dress because she didn’t want to wear a traditional wedding dress and how gorgeous she was with her Maison Rabih Kayrouz dress. The groom is a born scientist and his entourage is as passionate about math as he is! The bride was very inspired by this for the seating chart : to solve a mathematical calculation to find the number of table for the guests.
THE WEDDING VENUE : CHÂTEAU DE CAUMONT
Le Château de Caumont is a wild place near Toulouse in South West, authentic and sumptuous at the same time. A castle of the French Renaissance imposing by its architecture and its interiors remained in his time and with a generous nature in its surroundings.
A SPECIAL SOUVENIR OF THIS WEDDING IN FRANCE
Elodie told me the story of her bouquet. The Wedding Floral Designers always told me that the bouquet of the bride reflected her personality and the bride confirmed it to me that day. Each selected flower and leaf had its history and meaning. The artichaut for exemple because in France we call a sensitive person “coeur d’artichaut” wink at her groom.
