A DESTINATION WEDDING
IN PHUKET AT VILLA AYE
Being a destination wedding photographer is also discovering countries, neighborhoods and also places. Phuket is a big peninsula and I didn’t know its residential neighborhoods. We were on the morning of the destination wedding day, the GPS told us to turn on a road that didn’t really look like a road to start a climb. We are gradually moving away from the city and on the road appeared more and more vegetation. We took the height and saw a breathtaking view of the ocean.

James and Kay met in China and live today in England. They are very refined and elegant and with so much love for each other. I had joined them the day before the destination wedding in Phuket for a morning shoot on a beach that I had spotted a few days earlier. The access to the beach was closed, but I didn’t want to leave them before doing this pre wedding photo shoot with these two. So it was between the stalls of the fishermen who sold their freshly caught fish and the first tourist boats on the beach that we did the pre wedding photo session in the most tourist area of Phuket. We laughed, life was taking place around us little by little.
THE WEDDING VENUE : VILLA AYE
It’s in this residential area that James and Kay chose to get married. They privatize two villas to host their guests. Villa Aye and Villa Paa Talee are not far from each other and very different in terms of architecture. James and Kay chose Villa Aye for its views, its thai traditional architecture and tranquility. It was good to see the family circulating around our lovers during the get ready and to feel the time of the wedding in Phuket as at home.

The destination wedding in Phuket of James and Kay is incredibly elegant. After welcoming their guest on the Villa Aye terrace to admire the view and tailor-made cocktails of The Bubble Bliss Bar, it is a ceremony with an astonishing arch that awaits the guests. Candles, gold, and white to guarantee a sober destination wedding view an amazing view of the ocean for a perfect wedding ceremony.

When the evening turned into improvised karaoke. All of James's friends got around him and sing Chinese songs in front of Kay. A real meeting for me with Chinese culture and it was really great to live as a destination wedding photographer in Phuket.
