It was in the Drôme Provençale in south of France that Sarah and Laurent chose to say yes for a rustic and elegant destination wedding in France. We are a summer day the roads of Provence crisscross the stone walls and the landscapes varying between fields of olive trees, lavender and wheat. The pollen mixes with the sun's rays and filters its rays. Les Domaines de Patras was so peaceful this morning, the time for me to discover and get to know its inhabitants, dogs, cats, chickens and donkeys. Lavender danced to the rhythm of the wind, releasing its fragrance into the air of Provence. It was so beautiful and mild this morning at Domaines de Patras.

WITH AN INTERNATIONAL COUPLE
Sarah and Laurent shared years of common life in New Zealand before deciding to unite in Provence. For them the most important thing was to spend a pleasant moment with the most important people for them, their families and friends all gathered for this special day in all simplicity: a western wedding ceremony under the shade of trees of Domaines de Patras, a cocktail in the inner courtyard of the wedding venue in Provence and a dinner on a long table like a guinguette.

Les Domaines de Patras is a wedding venue in Provence which offers so much possibility of destination wedding photographs between the freshness of the olive trees and the endless view on the lavender fields and the Provencal stone walls of the house. Katy the owner of the wedding venue in Provence also knows very well how to welcome her guests with a real à la française warm welcome. It’s a very large estate surrounded by beautiful nature and a well-kept and simple exterior. The perfect balance between nature and comfort.
A WEDDING INSPIRED BY THE NATURE
The Wedding Planner, the Wanderlust Wedding and the floral designer, Nessa Buonomo have imagined this wedding inspired by a wild nature. The ceremony in the woods, under the shade of the old oak trees and the dinner with centerpieces with authentic texture and material. I’m a great lover of travel, texture and organic colors. So I imagined the wedding report all around this universe. Sarah and Laurent have lived abroad for a long time but have not forgotten their French origin. It was in the courtyard that they enjoyed a long cocktail with their guests and in the barn of the estate a long wedding meal with good French dishes.

Getting ready still my favorite moment during a wedding everywhere in the world. This is because as a destination fine art wedding photographer I take the time to immerse myself in the families and personalities of each. This is certainly why my favorite moment as a wedding photographer in the Domaines de Patras during this French destination wedding was the moment of the get ready of Laurent who shared this moment with his daughter and his son. It was very nice to see a father learn how to make a bow tie to his son and see children prepare their father to get married.
