A WEDDING IN L’ISLE SUR LA SORGUE
AT NOTRE DAME DES ANGES CHURCH
It was summer, the village of l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is one of the most prettiest villages of France with its traditional shop with its traditional Provencal soap and olive oil with an aged wooden front. The village of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is lulled by the sound of the river water. The village is surrounded by the Sorgue river which divides the pretty village into several islands where you can find restaurants with dishes with Provencal flavors by the water. But above all l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is especially hosts one of the most beautiful churches in France, Notre Dame des Anges. The village place was filled with elegant guests with the flower girls and their basket of rose petals which by the heat bothered the air with their perfume. The village was full of curious tourists were approaching more and more around the church wondering who could marry in this beautiful church. So when the bride's car arrived many of them were trying to see our beautiful Harriet in her wedding dress on her dady's arm.

A wedding is also an opportunity for a couple to mix their two worlds. Harriet had grown up in the Luberon, for her, every street in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue told her a story. It was significant to get married at this village and it was also an opportunity to discover it to her fiancé and his family. Emmanuel works for a very good company of French gastronomy, it was obvious for him to offer exceptional meals for their guests from the mises en bouches during the cocktail to the final dessert! On this summer day, they were writing their story together.

IN PROVENCE
As a Provence wedding photographer, I’m one of the first to discover the wedding ceremony decorations before anyone else. This moment was special for me, because the heavy wooden door overlooking the place of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgues was closed to avoid the eyes of the curious tourists and especially to keep the freshness inside the church. After pushing the heavy door, I finally discover the breathtaking church which was sufficient by itself. I have no words to describe the beauty of this place, it’s so mysterious and taking your guts. The decoration both loaded and balanced architecture. It was important for Harriet to get married here, she had imagined going up this aisle hundreds of times on her dady's arm from a very young age. The organ began to play the music, vibrating the ground until the waves went up in the walls and stained glass and there we saw the silhouette against Harriet appear in her Marie Laporte’s dress under the moved gaze of Emmanuel.

INSPIRATION WEDDING
The Harriet and Emmanuel’s wedding was simple and romantic with a real French savoir vivre. The cocktail begins by the pool of the Château de la Tour Vaucros accompanied by the live music group The Troubadour. It’s under the Jazzy rhythm that the two families get to know each other and savor the appetizers minutely prepared by Marou Provence wedding caterer. After the sun set, LEDs light up everywhere in the area like fireflies that come to invite themselves to the wedding. I have a lot about this wedding but if I had to choose one, it's at the time of the dinner. When the musicians circulated between the tables to play music. Everyone was dancing, guests of all ages, even I couldn’t resist to dance to their music! It's good to see all the generation dancing during a wedding!
